On the morning of January 16, 2020, an expert seminar on translation standards for film and television plays, sponsored by Beijing Moshi International Cultural Development Co., Ltd., was held in Beijing.

 

The purpose of this meeting is to listen to the opinions of industry leaders, film and television experts, translation experts and translation experts on the translation work. At the same time, the project of establishing a film and television translation and communication committee registered with China Translation Association will be launched. The project will classify, collect, integrate and establish translation principles, expert database and talent database of domestic and foreign films and TV plays according to the general situation of countries, regions or international organizations, basic language conditions and language policies. In order to further promote the compilation of the translation standards for film and television plays and the establishment of the translation and Communication Committee for film and television plays, a series of problems in the future translation of film and television plays will be solved.

Wang Gangyi, executive vice president and Secretary General of the China Translation Association, made a concluding speech at the meeting. From the perspective of international communication and the functions of the China Translation Association, he explained that it is very important and necessary for the formulation of the standards for the translation of film and television plays and the establishment of the expert committee, and put forward specific guiding opinions for the formulation of the standards for the translation of film and television plays, It is also proposed to establish a film and television drama translation and communication committee, set up a preparatory group to coordinate and communicate in a timely manner, and track and report the progress.
