The International Confucian Association (ICA) was founded in Beijing, China on October 5, 1994. It was jointly sponsored by China, South Korea, Japan, the United States, Germany, Singapore, Vietnam and other countries, as well as academic groups related to Confucianism in Hong Kong and Taiwan; It was registered with the Ministry of civil affairs of China in July 1995. It is an international academic institution with legal person status and its address is located in Beijing, China.
